The college has an advanced range of digital technology with specialist facilities and software in all subject areas, including interactive whiteboards in all learning and teaching areas. In addition to timetable ICT lessons, students utilise technology and develop their skills across the curriculum; they also have access to computers before and after college, as well as in break times, for independent and extended learning. Specialist software is used in all subjects to provide students with appropriate tools to engage in their learning. Students are supported in using a wide range of digital equipment and tools in an environment where e-safety is important. Students have opportunities to utilise their e-learning skills in a variety of situations including many linked to our business and enterprise specialism. Our web-based ‘Learning Gateway’ provides a 24 hour access that enables students and staff to access on-line learning materials and other information. Soon parents will also be able to access these materials as well as information about student progress and achievement.
