At KS4 Year 10 students now follow the EDEXCEL Core Modular Science GCSE course. The majority then progress onto the Year 11 EDEXCEL Additional Science GCSE course or the OCR Additional Applied GCSE course. The most able have the opportunity to gain GCSEs in the 3 sciences - biology, chemistry and physics. Some students are entered for a Modular Single Award in Science. We also offer the BTEC First Certificate and Diploma in Applied Science for students who prefer a portfolio based approach to KS4 qualifications.
