Headteacher Welcome
Welcome to Patchway Community School website.
We hope that our website will give you an insight into our vibrant Academy where dedicated staff inspire our students to enjoy learning and to achieve more than they ever think they could. We are committed to the development of the whole child at Patchway.
Supporting young people to achieve excellent outcomes at GCSE and post 16 levels is the most powerful thing we can do for those students and for the community we serve. Our 2017 results show impressive improvement, with 46.5% of students achieving a grade 4-9 (old style A*-C) in both English and maths GCSEs. 100% of students entering the following subjects also achieved a grade 4-9 ;Catering, Statistics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
In the sixth form, 51% of all grades were A*-B or equivalent and 80% were A*-C. The pass rate was 99%. Excellent individual results mean that many students now take up their places at Russell Group universities.
We value and reward effort, determination and aspiration and we are proud that our learners become strong and confident individuals who are able to make a positive contribution to their local and wider community.

The learning experience at Patchway Community School is not just about success in the classroom. Our four houses nurture each individual and support them to develop their abilities and talents and our vision statement embodies all that the house system represents.
We believe that by challenging students, raising their aspirations, and insisting on good behaviour, learning is enhanced and outcomes are improved. We want our young people to become independent, active citizens who are well prepared for their future lives. The journey involves a three-way partnership between school, parent and child and their success depends on your support. We value highly the relationships we build with families and we will work closely with you as your child grows and develops at Patchway Community School.
I hope that our website encourages you to find out more about Patchway Community School and we look forward to meeting you.
