From the Student Centre Officers

“Welcome to Patchway Community College Sixth Form!

I am Chris Wingett, the co-ordinating officer of our Sixth Form. The co-ordinating officer’s role is to oversee all decisions made in officer meetings and to organise the student side of the Sixth Form. We aim to a provide, with the help of Mr Trevarthen, Mr Peacock and the rest of the staff associated with Sixth Form, a unique and enjoyable experience for all who attend Sixth Form. We offer a student tuck shop, regular parties, a pleasant common room atmosphere and more essentially - the end of year prom! We look forward to seeing you soon!

For me, Sixth Form was the only choice when considering studying A-levels and providing me with a step into higher education. I currently study Sport, Media, English Language and Geography. I chose these subjects for three reasons: because I enjoyed them; did well at GCSE’s and worked very well with the staff. These three reasons consequently make Patchway Sixth Form distinctive and a great place to study.”
Chris Wingett, Co-ordinating Officer.

“I knew that I wanted to study A-Levels, but was unsure about where I wanted to carry out my studies. After visiting several open evenings I decided that Sixth Form was definitely where I wanted to be. I think it was the right decision for me and I have no regrets. I really enjoy the lessons I chose and get on well with the teachers.”
Stacey Pruett, General Officer.
