Information
At Patchway Community College all, students are given individual attention with highly experienced subject staff and a specialist Post 16 tutor, ensuring active and dynamic lessons and expert personalised guidance about future education, training and employment pathways. As such, we are very proud of our record of post-18 student destinations; each year around 65% of our students??? progress to a wide range of university courses, with others progressing to employment, or apprenticeships with such companies as the Ministry of Defence and Rolls Royce.
Our specialist Post 16 area features dedicated study facilities and extensive IT provision for the exclusive use of sixth form students, as well as an expansive and welcoming common room for building the friendships and peer support, which are integral to the quality of Post 16 education.
We jointly offer our curriculum as part of the wider Concorde Partnership alongside Bradley Stoke Community School, Abbeywood Community School and SGS College. Working together allows us to offer students a greater opportunity to study their A Level options. Free transport is provided between all sites.
Our entry requirements are for students to gain 5 A*-C at GCSE including English Language at a C Grade. Some subjects have unique entry requirements and these can be seen in our prospectus. Our offer, for any student, will be based on a student???s GCSE results and academic potential. Every student who applies will receive a personal interview and their options and future discussed.
We are delighted to be able to offer rich and diverse opportunities to our students, ranging from high quality academic study, to leadership of charity or whole school initiatives, with a wide range of additional activities such as visits to New York, Rome and Los Angeles. We pride ourselves on ensuring that every student is fully prepared for their next step after Post 16, with the skills and qualifications needed for future success.
