Literacy & Numeracy Funding
What is the Literacy and Numeracy Catch-up Premium?
The Literacy and Numeracy Catch-up Premium gives schools additional funding to support year 7 students who did not achieve at least level 4 in Reading or Mathematics at the end of Key Stage 2 (KS2).
All state-funded schools, including academies, with year 7 students receive this funding. In the academic year 2015 to 2016 we received ??11,500. We will receive our funding for the 2016 to 2017 academic year on 1 March 2017.
How do we use our Year 7 Literacy and Numeracy Catch-up Premium?
To begin with, we assess the individual needs of each of the pupils who attract the year 7 Literacy and Numeracy Catch-up Premium to decide the best way to use the funding. Please??see our summary of intervention and impact in this year’s report, as well as revisions to our interventions for 2016-17.
